I have a large library of VHS movies which I would like to preserve on DVDs. They worked for me - and with great customer services as well, which is a wonder in this day and age Theyve even got Sony Panasonic DVD recorder unlock codes in their database. It bothers me that many of sites today try to sell their wares with little or no after-sales service. Many of the unlock codes Ive had the misfortune of using needed different firmware versions that were never mentioned beforehand - or worse, simply didnt work at all. I tried on numerous occasions to follow up a dud code derived from a prominent site and to date, had zero response from them. I mention this only because I recently became a member of DVDEXPLODER, a website that actually produced a working code for my JVC HR-HV2 - an unlock Id been searching for relentlessly. Although the unlock was in fact tricky to implement, the website staff helped me all the way until the player became region free. Theyre a great bunch of technically minded and friendly people, I assure you.
